Lagos DSVA Hosts Stephanie Okereke Linus, Re-Affirms Commitment to Eradicating SGBV

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA ) has today received  Stephanie Okereke Linus at the Novel House office in Alausa,  Ikeja. 

The Executive Secretary, of DSVA,  Mrs. Titilola Vivour Adeniyi while receiving the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Regional Goodwill Ambassador on Maternal and Reproductive Health for West and Central Africa,  said she was elated by the visit which doubled as a courtesy call and a re-affirmation of Mrs. Stephanie Linus’s commitment to the fight against the SGBV menace. 

Vivour Adeniyi highlighted areas the Agency looked forward to more collaborative efforts, especially with the upcoming  Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month which is targeted at the various sectors of society. 

Whilst commending the Agency for the laudable programs and activities in the quest to bring an end to the scourge of Domestic and Sexual Violence in the State, Linus also stressed the need for all tiers of government as well as the private sector to be involved in the war against SGBV.  

She expressed the need for amplified collaborations on issues of gender-based violence at both the State and national levels, leveraging the structure and operations of the DSVA. 

Mrs. Linus pledged to continue to use her various platforms and craft to drive the Zero tolerance message even as she commended the Lagos State Government for demonstrating the requisite political will.
