DSVA Sensitizes Community Development Council (CDC), At Oshodi Isolo Local Government

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has reiterated the zero tolerance stance against SGBV and all forms of abuse in the State during its Community engagement advocacy to Oshodi Isolo Local Government as part of activities to commemorate the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month September 2023.

 Executive Secretary of the Agency,  Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi at the sensitization on SGBV at the Oshodi Isolo Local Government over the weekend on issues of Sexual and Domestic violence have become a growing concern in the State and can not be condoned.

Vivour-Adeniyi who was represented by Ms. Adetoun Odumbo, sensitized the gathering on the various ills and issues of SGBV,  stressing its forms: physical, emotional, economic, and sexual violence. 

Odumbo while emphasizing laws revolving around the issues and precautionary measures,  called on the residents to ensure cases are reported as survivors must get justice

 perpetrators of these heinous crimes must be made to face the full wrath of the law. 

She urged the audience not to hesitate to use the channel designated for reporting cases on the Agency’s toll-freeline of  0-8000-333-333 when SGBV cases occur around them. 

Ms. Tomisin Akinwunmi expatiated on the support services available at the Agency and assured these services are provided free by the Lagos State Government.
