Lagos DSVA Moves SGBV Advocacy To Isolo Local Government Development Area (LCDA)

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has continued to heighten awareness of the SGBV menace as it embarked on 

Advocacy at the Local Council  Development Area( LCDA) of Isolo through its Community Engagement Department over the weekend. 

Executive Secretary DSVA, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi revealed that heightened awareness in the grassroots had increased awareness and reporting of the SGBV perpetrated crimes as more Lagosians are more aware of the need to break the culture of silence. 

Ms. Adetoun Odumbo one of the officers from the Agency gave an overview of SGBV, its forms and preventive measures, and the toll-free line 0-8000-333-333 as a means of reporting SGBV cases.

Ms.Eniola Edun, another Agency representative spoke on the support services available for those experiencing SGBV and urged the participants to leverage these services provided by the State at no cost. 

Giving the vote of thanks, Mr. Mukaila Atilola, Vice Chairman of the Community Development Council was full of praises for the Lagos State Government for visiting the community with the initiative and urged for more intervention in the area.
