Lagos State Domestic & Sexual Violence Agency advocates against SGBV

The Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency today embarked on an Advocacy walk tagged “Turn Alausa Purple Advocacy Walk within the secretariat, against all forms of Domestic and sexual violence in the state.

The Executive Secretary, Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, Mrs. Lola Vivour-Adeniyi took the Advocacy Sensitization train through all the Lagos State Ministries to sensitize Civil Servants on the need to end the menace of sexual and gender based violence in the State.

She disclosed that the Agency has received over 4000 cases of Sexual and gender based violence within and outside the State.

This year’s awareness month themed: “It’s on us’ has a line up of activities to commemorate the month and started with Advocacy walk.

Most of the Civil Servants today adorned purple in solidarity with the DSVA, haven been pre informed via a State-wide Circular emanating from the Head of Service.
